Monday through Saturday you are going to cut the majority of your carb intake from your normal diet. The biggest enemy to fat loss are the "white carbohydrates."
2. Slow Carbs
You will want to replace the carbs you cut out of your diet with "slow carbs". These are the carbs that inrease your blood sugar at a slower but consistent pace. They also provide a great source of energy without adding on the fat. Some great examples of slow carbs are lentils, black beans, kidney beans and vegetables. When in doubt don't stray away from the list!
3. Eat What You Want on Day 7
On Sunday give your body a break. This is the day to "cheat" and to eat what you want within moderation. This is a crucial step because it promotes two very important purposes. The first purpose is that it gives you something to look forward to (it is very important for staying on track with your diet). The second purpose is that it keeps your body confused. This equals to more weight loss in the long run. I know first-hand this process works.
